GLOW BABY GLOW

Receiving a compliment on your skin can be disarming at first.

What me? Are you sure? Can't you see my giant pores? How about the oil slick that I feel on my forehead? Ick! (Sidenote: I don't know how to take compliments)

My latest skincare gem: Origins Modern Friction Microdermabrasion

Seriously, I am not the poster girl for great skin but this stuff makes my complexion shine brighter than Edward Cullen when he steps into the sun. 1

With ingredients like rice starch, aloe and peppermint- this grainy scrub helps get rid of dead skin cells, patchy spots and helps with nasty previous skin damage. Microdermabrasion also helps to rejuvenate skin cells more than a regular exfoliator. While you can go get microdermabrasion done at your dermatologist's office- you'll probably leave with red, irritated skin and a large bill.

Origins is also a natural skincare line that uses plant and organic ingredients. They are also earth and animal friendly. Canadians can get Origins products at The Bay. Lately I've been more conscious of what I put on my skin. The chemicals in certain makeup products will blow your mind. But I try to find a balance.

The stuff can be a little pricey (around $40) but it does last a really long time. Oh and compliments on my skin at 9 in the morning doesn't garner a price tag.

1- I'm not a Twihard or whatever those fans are called and I thought that scene in the movie was incredibly cheesy. Rob Patt does have killer bone structure and lots of hair. I'm a fan of guys with good hair.
